Background
Beginning with an early love of drawing and inspired by my Scandinavian heritage, I always wanted to pursue a creative profession. I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and have been living and working in Chicago since.
I work full time as the Global Leader of User Experience Design at the Insight by Nemera, part of Nemera France SAS, a world leader in design development and manufacturing of drug delivery devices. With a strong background in both physical (industrial design) and digital (UXUI) product solutions in medical device, drug delivery, and healthcare services, my team specializes in transforming complex mechanisms and workflows into simple and successful user experiences. We work seamlessly with design research, human factors, and engineering to deliver the best, most appropriate, and innovative design solutions imbued with qualities informed by insights gathered directly from end users. This approach has earned the team multiple design awards.
Outside of my full-time job, I regularly take on freelance work, primarily in graphic design.
In my free time, I enjoy pursuing creative outlets such as photography and illustration, and indulge my passion for sociology, ethnography, and linguistics by traveling frequently.
